Now that there are several days worth of video content being uploaded to YouTube every minute, there is a growing necessity for there to be a curation system in place to help viewers easily discover what’s valuable and important to them. YouTube tries to do this automatically with “related videos” and such, but the time is quickly coming when YouTube channels will not only be geared for content creators, but also for curators. In the near future you’ll be able to build an audience by featuring other people’s work and earn credibility by highlighting what’s important to your niche.

A basic example of this is YouTube’s new “Screening Room” for the Sundance Film Festival. Expect more curation channels like this to get more features and power from YouTube soon!
