If you shoot video from your iPhone or mobile device, you know the audio it produces can be less than ideal. There’s often a lot of background noise and while your voice may be loud and clear, someone else’s voice who’s further away from the camera may be quiet and soft.

Here’s how I go about extracting the audio my phone’s video files and leveling it so everyone is at equal volume, using the free software, Levelator.
