With most of YouTube’s views coming from mobile devices, it’s becoming more and more important that we optimize our videos for people on tiny screens and tablets, especially the call-to-actions at the end of your videos. YouTube provides a few tools for making your videos interactive, like annotations, interactive cards, and end screen elements, but not of them work on mobile devices. Some work better on mobile than desktop, too.

In this podcast interview I talk with Sean Cannell about how he best recommends we engage mobile viewers so that they can easily take the call-to-actions we provide, whether that be to subscribe to our channel, watch another video, or even buy one of our products. Together we dig into our YouTube analytics and see what’s working and what’s not in ways that help you make similar discoveries for your own YouTube channel and videos.
