I got to hang out with my oldest daughter last night and was surprised by how adult-like our conversations were. She’s quickly becoming a little woman and I’m really proud of her.

My wife and I homeschool all of our kids and part of the reason we decided to do that was to be able to teach them real life skills they could use later.

My daughter has been interested and skilled in business and it’s a blessing to get to teach her this stuff at such a young age.

I know everyone didn’t have a dad or mentor in their life to teach them this stuff, though. I had to figure out everything I know about business myself. But, if you’ll allow me, I’d love to be that person for you.

I’d love to “pull back the curtain” and share a little bit of my story and my business with you and share how I managed to automate $500,000 in sales from one of my online courses. Hopefully, these principles can help you succeed in your own business and if you have questions, I’m always here for that too!

Here’s how I did it.

I mapped out the entire customer journey. What are the steps that you want someone in your target audience to take to lead them to a sale? (From the time they discover you/your brand to the time they are checking out with your product or service in their cart.) We walk you through in our free guide, ““, but here’s what our process here at Video Creators looks like.

  1. Start with valuable content. How will you get discovered by your audience? Where are they hanging out at? Is it YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok? The first step in generating sales is growing an audience and the best way to do that is by creating content they value and want to watch. It’s important to create high quality content and be consistent so that your audience grows to know, like, and trust you as a creator or a brand.
  2. Create a lead magnet. Once your ideal viewer has discovered you or your brand, they may want even more of your content. What is something of extreme value that you could provide to them? Is it a free eBook? Video series? Sample of a product? Behind the scenes content? Get creative and think outside the box here. Offer your audience something valuable (i.e. that they’ll actually use and it won’t just sit in their inbox) in exchange for their email address.
  3. Don’t overwhelm them with your offer. If you have a product or service, don’t overwhelm your audience with your offer. They need time to grow to know, like, and trust you. Some ways you can build that trust are to continue sharing valuable content, sharing your lead magnet, answering their comments/questions, going live, respond to DMs, and just be helpful and kind!
  4. Make the offer. Once your audience has been following you for a period of time and they have grown to know, like, and trust you – your product/service could be EXACTLY what they need to solve their problem. Don’t be afraid to make the sale because you want to be pushy. Once you have their email address, you can automate a series of email sequences that will allow you to continue delivering value, while setting up your audience to hear your offer. If they don’t want it, they can be removed from your email list, and if it resonates with them, you don’t have to slide into anyone’s DMs… because they already came to you! This is our favorite way to reach our ideal customer and sell in a way that doesn’t feel sleazy.

This is how we automate our sales at a very practical level. In the video above, I walk you through all the back end stuff on how we set that up and the tools we use to do do it.

You can learn even more in our free guide, ““.

I hope this helps you get started or tweak your own customer journey and generate more sales for your business.

Keep changing lives,

Tim
