Sometimes being a YouTube creator can feel like a grind. Shooting footage, editing videos, publishing content, responding to comments, and doing it all over again can get old quickly if you’re doing it several times a week. It’s a lot of work!

So what’s the motivating factor that drives you to keep going and do what you do on YouTube? This is an important question to wrestle through because it determines how you define success on YouTube as well as what will be discourage you.

While at Vidcon, I asked several other creators what motivates them to keep going on YouTube. Here are their responses and I’d love to hear yours, too!
