YouTube’s Sponsor button has been available for gaming channels for a little while now, but YouTube is beta testing it on non-gaming channels now and expending the product a bit. The Sponsor feature allows viewers to contribute a monthly fee to a channel and access exclusive perks on that YouTube channel in return, such as custom emojis, a special badge in chat and comments, and access to special content. It’s a way that allows a channel’s community to help support the creator they love while also taking a deeper step into the community that surrounds that channel.
