While Periscope and Meerkat may be similar apps, there’s a few differences that make them ideal for differing situations. I’ve been playing with both of them for a while and found a few things to be true when using them to develop my YouTube audience. Here’s some of the pros and cons of each and which situation each is best for.

One nice thing about Meerkat that I forgot to mention is that you can add a button to the end of your stream that links to anywhere you want the viewer to go when your stream is over. For me, include a button that links to my YouTube channel.
