Whether you want to record video game play on your PC, screen capture your desktop, or combine either of them with a little window of yourself from your webcam, Open Broadcaster Software (also known as OBS) can help you do it. The best part is that Open Broadcaster Software is open source and free! In this tutorial, you’ll learn all the appropriate settings to use to use Open Broadcaster Software to record your video games along with a little webcam video of yourself in the corner of the screen. (Thanks to Nathie on YouTube for this video contribution!)
Do you stay on the obs program screen or do you go to game screen
Thank you for these instructions, really helpful!! I’d also recommend Acethinker Screen Recorder which I have been using for many years. It’s a free web-based application to record computer screen right from the browser, you don’t have to download or install anything. Share it here as an alternative to OBS.
OBS is great for free, but it’s a little bit complicated for me. I got stunned when I run it on my computer for the first time. Now my friend and I both use Joyoshare Screen Recorder. We often take it to record gameplay for YouTube channel sharing. It can record video games in 720P or 1080P in no lag. We can choose to record with or without sound from system or microphone. By the way, my friend use Xbox 360 and I PS4.
