Channel trailers are your opportunity to pitch your channel to a non-subscribed viewer. Traditionally creators put a video there that pitches their channel, which works very well for a lot of people. However, Evan decided to put a video there instead that added more value to this non-subscribed viewers to give them another glimpse of what he does on the channel. For him, that ended up converting well. Just don’t blindly update things like your channel trailer, though — test it, pay attention to the impact it makes because everyone’s channel and audience performs differently.
